time ticking away...

I did this one from one of those "Fruits" photography books... strangely I like the first one I did on the left, straight ahead with quill and ink, the best.

"I suppose I have a really loose interpretation of "work" because I think that just being alive is so much work at something you don't always want to do. Being born is like being kidnapped. And then sold into slavery. People are working every minute. The machinery is always going. Even when you sleep."

I want Nick back now!

They pushed him till the 18th! Rawr! Poor Nick!

We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.

Just one more week...

...until Nick is free from military land!

and now for a quote I know Nick likes...

"I shall die here. Every inch of me will perish. Every inch but one. An inch...It is small, and fragile, and it is the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose it or give it away. We must never let them take it from us. I hope that, whoever you are, you escape this place. I hope that the world turns and things get better. But I hope must of all that you understand that even though I will never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you."

cartooney friends

I tell ya, all my drawrings fromthe winter sketchbook were of the same people!

"A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself-and especially to feel, or not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at any moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is."

"It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but by people being fundamentally people."

He doesn't believe in magic. And he's right. Magic doesn't exist, for him. You have to choose it, you see. That's what we're offering you: the choice.

The final critique in Cameron's class last semester.

You can see by the colors that Nick is reading Chamber of Secrets.

Feeling much betters! gosh, I should be doing homework!

"Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has no survival value; rather is one of those things that gives value to survival."

tree drawings

Just some of the homework that's been taking up my time... Hopefully I'll feel well enough to go to figure drawing this week! Life's been stress-hectic in my mind, but soon everything will be simplified.
Wanting some Lckey time! Spring break around the corner, sorta?
