Christmas eve was great! Started out with delicious Chili's dinner! Hm... new eating-out tradition? Then was dirty styrofoam--great--and then midnight mass--which always pisses me off a little bit at least, but was still nice. Mom and dad wanted us in the bedroom early, and then when we weren't asleep really late Santa started yelling pissed-off through the door.
Today we got to see some cousins and an uncle, and now Cindy is over for dinner. Surprisingly good Christmas! no mishaps at all.

I used to do this thing where I'd listen to my music on shuffle and try to finish a sketch inspired by each song that came up. Usually I had to listen two or two and a half times through for enough time to draw... So "Wideworld" is always on my mind. Where is it going and when will I have time to work on it? I figured out (during political science) that I can't write characters who aren't vulnerable in some way, which is why I've been having trouble with this one soldier character who I wanted to be the big "bad guy."
I really want to start writing the pirates, because I've got a good handle on them and I'm sure the story won't drag any more. I still have to ink #2 and do all of #3 before I get to their point in the story. Maybe it wasn't smart to introduce them at the start of #1?
